1000-Foot Category 5e Enhanced Plenum Cable, Unshielded twisted pair, Solid conductors. This type of CAT 5 cable is used in office and industrial applications where code requires it. Retail box.
Instructions: (1) While terminating Cat. 5 twisted pair cables, be sure the natural twist of each pair is carried through as close as practical to the point of mechanical termination. EIA/TIA 568A requires no more than 0.5 inch (13mm) untwisted for Cat. 5, as it will affect performance at high bit rates. (2) Cabling should be secured and placed in a manner which prevents binding and tight cinching. It should not be subject to excessive bends greater than four times the cable diameter. (3) Cabling should not be subject to pulling tension greater than 25 pounds (110N).
